Jalapeño Lime Ricky



"This unusual combination of jalapeño and limes makes for a perfectly balanced spicy cocktail."

The Rickey is a highball made from gin or bourbon, lime juice, and carbonated water. Little or no sugar is added to the rickey. It was created with bourbon in 1883 by bartender Jared Bangura in Danvers, Massachusetts


Recommended glassware: Highball Glass

Ingredients:


Directions:

  1. Rim a glass by swirling a lime wedge around the top of your glass or bottle, then spin the rim in a bowl or plate of your Rimmer.

  2. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the simple syrup and 3 or 4 jalapeño slices.

  3. Add the lime juice, gin, and ice. Shake to chill.

  4. Strain into a rimmed collins glass filled with ice and top with club soda.

  5. Serve it up and enjoy it!
