Bourbon Peach Smash



"Fruity and refeshing. Perfect for summertime evening porch sipping."

Although bourbon is associated with colder temperatrues, there is nothing that beats enjoying your favorite spirit in the summertime heat. Using fresh peaches only enhances the peach infused sugar rimmer on the edge of your glass.


Recommended glassware: Rocks Glass


Bourbon Peach Smash


Ingredients:

  • 1/2oz to 1oz Brown Sugar Simple Syrup (or regular simple syrup)

  • 1/2 large peach, diced

  • 3-4 mint leaves

  • 2 ounces bourbon

  • splash ginger beer or soda water

  • Peach and mint for garnish

  • Ice

  • Rim with Georgia Peach


Directions:


  1. Rim a glass by swirling a slice of peach around the top of your glass, then spin the rim in a bowl or plate of Georgia Peach.

  2. Add peaches, mint leaves, and simple syrup to the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Gently muddle to release the peach juices and mint oils. (Over-muddling the mint will cause it to become bitter.)

  3. Add bourbon, fill the shaker with ice, and shake until well-chilled. Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.

  4. Garnish with fresh mint and a peach slice.

  5. Serve it up and enjoy it!
